Genus Aphanotorulus.
— Orinoco Leopard Pleco — Aphanotorulus ammophilus [Armbruster & Page, 1996]. (L 094, L 123). Venezuela, Colombia, Orinoco River. 20 cm. The main body color is light gray. Small black spots are scattered all over the body and fins. During the spawning period, the male develops characteristic bristles on the posterior part of the body. Aquarium with a sandy bottom and several driftwood logs and tubes for shelter. Feed with crustaceans, Artemia, and bloodworms. pH 7.0-7.9; T 25-29°C.
