JBL Medications.

JBL Argudol — Highly effective medication against worms and carp lice. The active ingredient is the pesticide diflubenzuron. The company’s specialists claim that the new prophylactic agent differs significantly from those previously available. It does not cause water cloudiness and does not reduce oxygen concentration. In addition, the new remedy causes no side effects in fish. An effective remedy against parasites such as: Argulus, Lernaea, Trichodina and similar ones. Suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater with temperatures above 18°C.

JBL Ektol cristal — A preparation for treating fish against parasites and fungal diseases. A very serious effect is achieved in the treatment of various fungal diseases. Medication for fish in freshwater aquariums against fungal infections (Saprolegniasis), unicellular parasites (Costiasis, Ichthyophthiriasis, Chilodonelliasis), bacteria (Columnaris). Cotton-like growths, white patches on the skin, and small white spots can be symptoms of the disease. Helps restore the fish’s mucous membrane. Fish shed the damaged mucous membrane covered with pathogens, thereby getting rid of the problem. An effective medication for treating livebearing fish species.

The preparation is used as an antibacterial agent in case of unexplained mass mortality of fish in the aquarium. In some cases, success was also observed with visually inexplicable mass mortality of fish. The active oxygen contained in Ektol cristal instantly eases breathing for fish and oxidizes toxic substances in the water. Application: Add 10 g for every 100 liters of water on days 1, 3, and 5. Repeat if necessary, proceeding similarly, but after pre-replacing 30-50% of the water. 1 level teaspoon contains approximately 5 g of the preparation.

JBL Ektol fluid — Medication against Fin rot and other external bacterial infections caused by bacteria such as Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, Columnaris, etc. Used for treating bacterial and parasitic diseases of fish in freshwater aquariums. Frequent symptoms of such infections include fin rot, ulcers, mouth “fungus”, exophthalmia (pop-eye), and dropsy. In cases where fish signal the onset of a disease through their behavior (clamped fins, scratching against objects) but an exact diagnosis cannot yet be made, Ektol fluid provides reliable help. Successfully combats secondary bacterial infections. Copper-free!

Application: 10 ml for every 40 liters of water. Re-addition is done if necessary on the 5th day at full volume. Directly before adding the next dose, 30-50% of the water should be replaced. Attention! Invertebrates, scaleless fish, and weakened fish may be sensitive to the medication. Start treatment with half the dose and increase it cautiously.

JBL Fungol — Preparation against fungal diseases. A medicinal product that quickly and reliably deals with fungal diseases and fungal infections affecting fish eggs. It is a medication for treating aquarium fish against external mycoses (fungal infections) caused by fungi from the Saprolegniaceae family. A symptom of such an infection is a white, cotton-like coating that can appear on all parts of the body. A fast and reliable remedy against external fungus. The roots of the fungus penetrate the fish’s mucous membrane. JBL Fungol fights the external part of the fungus, while JBL Ektol Cristal helps the fish rid its mucous membrane of the deeply rooted fungus. Do not use simultaneously with JBL Punktol. Do not use for treating invertebrates!

Method of application and dosage: The outer hopper of the screw cap is designed for 15 liters, the inner hopper for 30 liters. As a rule, an improvement or complete disappearance of fungal lesions is observed after just 1-2 days. If necessary, treatment can be repeated at the full dose on the 3rd and 5th day. Directly before each repeated treatment, a 50% water change in the aquarium is required. Do not use the preparation simultaneously with other medications. If other preparations (as well as plant fertilizers) were used shortly before administering the product, a 75% water change in the aquarium is required. During water treatment, carbon filtration should be stopped and the UV sterilizer turned off.

Attention: Weakened fish may react sensitively to the medication. In this case, start with half the dose, gradually increasing the concentration of the drug in the water. It is worth noting here that an external fungal infection is inherently a secondary infection, meaning it follows some external stress or impact. Therefore, before tackling the fungal infection, its root cause should be eliminated.

JBL Furanol — Medication against external and internal bacterial diseases. Highly effective preparation active against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, such as Aeromonas, Columnaris, and many others, except for fish tuberculosis. The biologically active substance nifurpirinol acts faster and stronger than a classic antibiotic. It is absorbed by affected organs within a few seconds and kills bacteria faster than other medications. Easily tolerated by fish, very quickly absorbed by the gills, and reaches all fish organs within a few minutes in a therapeutically effective concentration. Treats open ulcers, exophthalmia, and abdominal dropsy in the early stages. Copper-free! Despite this, do not use for treating invertebrates! Easily tolerated, very well absorbed by the gills, and reaches all organs within a few minutes in a therapeutically effective concentration. Harmless to aquarium plants.

Method of application and dosage: 1 tablet per 30 liters of water, in severe cases 1 tablet per 20 liters of water. Dissolve the required number of tablets in a container of water and then pour the solution into the aquarium. Ensure good aeration during treatment with furanol. Turn off the UV clarifier and CO2 system during the treatment period. Repeat treatment after 4 days. Do not use simultaneously with other medications!

Attention: JBL Furanol also kills all bacteria in the filter. Therefore, it is recommended to disconnect the filter during furanol treatment and run it in another aquarium or container. Furanol is not tolerated by invertebrates living in saltwater! For marine fish and seriously ill freshwater fish, an intensive bath outside the aquarium is recommended, prepared as follows: dissolve 1 tablet in 1 liter of water; place the fish in the prepared solution for 30 minutes and then return them to the aquarium. Ensure good aeration during water treatment with furanol!

JBL Furanol 2 — Preparation for treating external and internal bacterial diseases. Abscesses, bleeding inflammations, crater-like ulcers (often in coldwater fish), wounds, “eaten-away” fins, swellings, loss of skin patches or scales are generally symptoms of a bacterial infection. In later stages, abdominal swelling (dropsy) with scale protrusion, exophthalmia, darkening of coloration, swimming coordination disorders, and emaciation may be observed. This is a remedy for treating aquarium fish against internal and external bacterial infections. A highly effective preparation active against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, except for fish tuberculosis. The biologically active substance nifurpirinol acts faster and stronger than a classic antibiotic. Absorbed by affected organs within seconds and kills bacteria faster than other medications. Treats open ulcers, exophthalmia, and abdominal dropsy in the early stages. Copper-free! Despite this, do not use for treating invertebrates! Harmless to aquarium plants.

Application: For continuous treatment: 1 tablet per 30 liters of water; in severe cases, 1 tablet per 20 liters of water. Dissolve the required number of tablets in a container of water and then pour the solution into the aquarium. Leave for 4 days, after which perform a 30% water change. Repeat the course if necessary. For short-term treatment: 1 tablet per 1 liter of water. Place sick fish in the solution for about 30 minutes. Ensure good aeration during treatment and observe the fish. If abnormal behavior signs appear, interrupt the treatment. Do not use simultaneously with other medications!

JBL Oodinol — Preparation for combating parasitic flagellates of the Oodinium group (Oodiniasis). Active against Oodinium group flagellates by increasing copper content in the water by 0.3 mg/l – dosage must be determined and monitored using a test kit. Combats Oodinium pathogens in freshwater and saltwater. Never use for invertebrates; remove them from the aquarium before use! Application: 1 drop per 2 liters of water at 24-hour intervals for 3 days, followed by a partial (minimum 30%) water change. In freshwater, the treatment result is improved by darkening the aquarium for 3-4 days. In soft water with a carbonate hardness below 4° dKH, use only 75% of the specified dose. At carbonate hardness above 15° dKH, the dose can be increased by 150%.

JBL Punktol Ultra — Medicinal product for combating unicellular parasites on aquarium fish – Ichtyophthirius, Ichtyobodo (Costia), Heteropolatia, Chilodonella, Tetrahymena, Trichodina, Glossatella. Preparation for treating fish against all (even the most resilient) ichthyoparasites. Grain-like white spots on the skin, fins, and gills of fish are characteristic of the so-called white spot disease caused by the parasite Ichtyophthirius in freshwater. Targeted not only against all white spot disease pathogens (Ichthyophthirius) but also against other ectoparasites. Mass mortality observed during this disease is halted and stopped altogether. New active ingredient combination, copper-free. Fish should ideally be treated in a special quarantine tank. Freshwater invertebrates (shrimp, crustaceans) tolerate the preparation poorly. They should be removed from the aquarium before applying the product. Scaleless fish (loaches, catfish) and weakened fish may react sensitively to the preparation. In this case, it is recommended to start treatment with half the dose.

Method of application and dosage: Before applying the preparation, activated carbon should be removed from the filter, and the UV sterilizer and CO2 system turned off. Continue aeration. 10 ml for every 100 liters of water. If necessary, repeat treatment with the full dose on the 3rd, 5th, etc., day. Directly before each subsequent treatment, change 30-50% of the water. Raising the temperature to 30°C provides significant support if the fish can tolerate such a temperature. To eradicate Ichtyophthirius parasites, a minimum of 15 days with regular additional treatments as specified above is required. Combating an Ichtyophthirius infection requires prolonged medical treatment with regular subsequent applications. To rid the fish and aquarium of the Costia parasite, a minimum of 7 days with regular additional treatments as specified above is required.

When combating all other named parasites, as a rule, a significant improvement and even healing of the fish is recorded after just the first or second treatment. An active biological filter that has not been cleaned for a long time can partially deactivate the medication. Therefore, we recommend cleaning the filter before applying the preparation. Additionally, we advise cleaning the bottom substrate before application. During treatment, fish should ideally not be fed at all or given very small food portions.

JBL Punktol ultra forte — Concentrated medicinal product for treating various species of aquarium fish against unicellular parasites – such as Ichtyophthirius, Ichtyobodo (Costia), Heteropolatia, Chilodonella, Tetrahymena, Trichodina, Glossatella. A 50 ml bottle is designed for a volume of 15,000 liters of water. Acts against all ichthyophthiriasis (white spot disease) pathogens as well as other ectoparasites. Contains no copper, which is fatal to invertebrates. The preparation has proven extremely effective in combating Ichtyophthirius parasites. Mass mortality observed during this disease is slowed down or stopped entirely. Before applying the preparation, activated carbon should be removed from the filter, and the UV sterilizer and CO2 system turned off. After treatment is completed, water should be filtered through activated carbon for 24 hours to remove drug residues. Remove the carbon afterwards.

JBL Spirohexol — Preparation for treating Hexamitiasis and intestinal disorders. Effective preparation for combating intestinal flagellates of the Hexamita and Spironucleus families in aquarium fish. Typically, the disease caused by these parasites is called “hole-in-the-head” disease.

Application: 1 tablet per 20 liters of water. Place the required number of tablets directly into the aquarium in an area with good water circulation. Treatment duration: 1 week. After 1 week, replace 75% of the aquarium water. Repeat treatment in a similar manner if necessary. Do not filter water through activated carbon during treatment. Ensure a good oxygen supply to the aquarium during water treatment. Do not use simultaneously with other medications! If other preparations were used shortly before treatment, a 75% water change is required.
